ISG Dammam Literary Fair an umbrella under which the work of our buddying readers and writers was displayed was indeed an event to be cherished and celebrated.
I was quite apprehensive when the responsibility of being a chairperson of this event was bestowed upon me, but now that I look back, I am glad that I shouldered it. To witness such an amalgam of talent, intellect, differentiation, and variety was immaculate. From grade 1 all the way through grade 12 students, parents, teachers one and all were there, playing their role magnificently making the event a great success.
The festive had kicked off with the Elementary Speak Out on March 18 followed by the Middle School and then taken up by High School Speak Out, plays, skits, poetry and much more. Once again Elementary was there to end the event on the last two days of Literary Fair March 25th grade 1 and 3 and then March 26tj with grades 2 and 4.
It’s really one big event, where all the domains of language learning come face-to-face with the textual world and the real world. Students were provided an opportunity to share their work during the gallery walk. Not only that, the tip of the iceberg was our very own Character Museum and Unscripted Debate where students were dressed in their favorite character costume sharing their lives and history.
Read Aloud, a highly popular time of our students’ daily routine life was also shared during the Literary Fair.
It would be fair to say, it was one of the best of ISG Dammam so far.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you will learn, the more places you’ll go.” Dr. Seuss
And ISG Dammam Literary Fair was the place to be in. Until we meet aging next year.
