Dear Parents,
Over the past two weeks, we hosted Ms. Eva Cartwright at ISG, who worked with our Teaching Assistants (TAs) and teachers across the district to deliver valuable training. The goal of the Teaching Assistant Professional Development is to help our teachers, TAs and administrators understand the characteristics of an effective Teaching Assistant and to explore new and innovative ways to support student success and achievement. Furthermore, TAs developed their ability to provide individualized attention and collaborate with their teachers to offer support to students requiring additional support. Please read the rest of this article here.
ISG is in the midst of a self-assessment process that includes feedback and input from the school community including students, faculty and parents on the district’s Core Values and Profile of Graduates. As a result, we ask that you complete the following short survey to help us in this process. Your participation is anonymous and the data will be used by a committee to reflect and consider possible next steps. The multiple choice and open-ended questions in the survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. The link to the form can be found here. The survey will remain open until Thursday, November 2.

Our schools celebrated Unity Day this week with several activities on each campus to promote kindness and compassion. On October 18, everyone wore the color orange as a symbol of their unity. Unity Day reminds us that we all deserve to be treated with kindness, to be accepted as who we are and feel included at all times, which also aligns with ISG’s theme for this year of Compassionate Action: Acceptance, Inclusion and Respect. Please click here to watch the video recap of the day.
The ISG Alumni Association is holding two events in 2023-24: the Alumni Sports Meet in Khobar and the Alumni Reunion in Houston. Please share this information with your children who have attended or graduated from any of our ISG schools. To gauge interest, please ask them to fill out the below interest forms:
Separate registration forms will be circulated in the coming weeks.
I would like to remind you that all ISG schools will be closed from October 20-28. Classes will resume on Sunday, October 29.
Enjoy the break!
Best wishes,
Michael P. Mack
