 Literary Fair

“ Words have power. Words are power. Words could be your power. “

On March 25, 2018 , ISG Dammam’s third graders celebrated their Literary work across various genres in Reading and Writing based on the theme “Power of Words”. Students showcased their journey of excellence in learning through poem, presentation, read alouds, choral readings and speeches.

Narrative poem drew the attention of the audience to the fact that, how many of us feel when asked to write ….it’s a blank sheet. The narrative writers presented their detailed, descriptive seed moment stories and these storytelling skills took us on a journey through their personal experiences. Foldables and chromebooks were used to display the depth of learning and research of Information and Opinion genres. The experts in their fields shared their knowledge and point of view about the topic they researched.

Haven't you heard about Fashion Parade, well our students went on a ramp walk with their favorite books. Four of the favorite grade three read alouds which portrayed strong character traits with their summary were exhibited to the audience.

Our core values - Respect, Honesty, Responsibility, and Fairness were tailored to a poem by the students and recited. One voice in unison took the audience to a different reading experience through Choral reading from the book “ Which Shoes do you Choose ? “ by Betsy Rosenthal.

Literary Fair helped to harness the power of reading and writing in a fun and collaborative way building confidence along the way. Truly this was a journey of excellence.
